Recruiting Consultant, Get Recruited Consulting
Matthew DiBernardo, a 30-year veteran of the coaching profession at the collegiate and high school levels, comes to Get Recruited after a highly successful tenure at Oak Hall School in Gainesville, Florida. In only 3 seasons, Oak Hall’s program went from 2-17 in the previous two years before DiBernardo took the helm to an incredible 25-6 record, including the school’s first undefeated season and conference championship. DiBernardo was named NFFC Coach of the Year, Gainesville Sun Co-Coach of the Year, Florida Dairy Farmer’s State Independent Coach of the Year, and Florida Football.com’s Independent Coach of the Year. Under DiBernardo’s leadership the program placed student athletes at United States Military Academy (Army West Point), Amherst College, Middlebury College, Monmouth College (Ill), and Lawrence University to continue their academic and athletic careers.
DiBernardo started his head coaching career at Wyoming Seminary College Preparatory School in Kingston, Pennsylvania and the success of that program followed the same script as the one seen at Oak Hall. The once proud Pennsylvania prep school program had fallen on difficult times, winning only 1 game in a 2-year period. While at Wyoming Seminary, DiBernardo’s teams recorded three straight winning seasons and he was named Head Coach of the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Times Leader’s Unsung Hero Award Team, and was given a special award for his “Performance On and Off the Field” by the Wyoming Valley’s UNICO Chapter. More importantly, under DiBernardo’s guidance, the program placed student athletes at Syracuse University, The United States Naval Academy, Colgate University, Lafayette College, Lehigh University, Bucknell University, University of Rhode Island, Bryant University, Muhlenberg College, Susquehanna University, Wilkes University, Kings College, Williams College, Rhodes College, Hobart College, James Madison University, Long Island University Post, and Grove City College, among others.
DiBernardo has also spent significant time in his career successfully evaluating prospects as a coach at the college level, including stints as the Head Coach at Delaware Valley University, the Assistant Head Coach at Wilkes University, the Offensive Coordinator at Hobart College and the Offensive Line Coach at LIU Post.
