We hope everyone’s families are healthy and safe ! Get Recruited wanted to update everyone on things we know you must do now in order to get recruited at the best college possible. This is a very difficult time with the covid virus, but the recruiting process will still move on. As many HS seasons are either being pushed back or cancelled you must have a plan of action moving forward from here.
Lets start with the 2021 class. At the FBS level/D1 most spots are taken at this point. Very few spots will open at this point. The IAA/FCS level does have spots left and a matter a fact more then usual for this point. These schools were hoping to evaluate players at camp and when this did not happen they now still hope to watch senior films. In preparation to play at the IAA.D2 or D3 level we have some strong suggestions to help you get recruited. Start by making a workout video with your real height in a doorway with a tape measure and straight edge. Get your weight on a scale, 5-10-5, L drill, vertical, broad jump and specific skills on your position and put this all on one film. Then you need to send this thru email, social media and texts to colleges that are accurate for your athletic and academic abilities. This will be time consuming and difficult to get real answers from the college coaches. Make sure you have your cell, email, grades, film link, address and major on the film for the coaches to see.
The process to get recruited for a 21 at the D3 and D2 level is the same, but they have many more openings at this point. The 22 class is in the same position as well. With a delayed or no season at all the workout film is vital and along with your prior years film will help get you on the radar for colleges. From there picking the correct camps will be vital in the success of your recruiting process.
